uGeneral Summary:/uAssist in the development and implementation of student academic development/support services.uPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:/uAdvise program participants on academic, career and college planning issues.brbrCollaborate with program staff in planning and implementing residential component.brbrSupervise staff and student participants during residential component activities (evening/overnight supervision).brbrDevelop and implement workshops and field trips to aid student development (some evenings and weekends).brbrTrain residence hall staff in program process and rules.brbrCoordinate activities of Student Advisory Board and Parent Support organization.brbrAnnually recruit, interview, and select new program participants.brbrCollaborate with program staff in data collection, program planning and report development.brbrRepresent the program at meetings, conferences and other events on camps, at targeted high schools and in the community.brbrPerform related departmental duties as required.uQualifications:/uKnowledge and skills in student development/learning concepts and techniques typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Guidance and Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or a related field is required.brbrOne year of teaching, counseling, and/or youth development work experience is required.brbrExperience working with youth from lower-income and multicultural backgrounds is preferred.brbrCapability to plan and implement programs and projects is required.brbrExcellent listening, oral and written communication skills are required.brbrStrong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office, Publisher and social media platforms are required.
