Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a high-performing Controller Integration Engineer who is looking for an opportunity to join the Automated Driving & Viewing Software & Integration team to learn and contribute to Active Safety features such as Super Cruise for our in-house controllers (EOCM and ACP). Candidate should have a passion for software and controls with a strong aptitude to learn in a new area and interface with cross functional stakeholders. Location can be for Milford or Warren.

Responsibilities

  • Support algorithm team to develop test case and execute Key Behavior Tests (KBTs) and Milestone Tests as prescribed, post results and sign off work tickets.

  • Provide documented examples of process, tool or other improvements in standard work

  • Verify control module functionality on hardware-in-the-loop bench and in vehicle. (examples: Low level hardware interfaces, serial programming, message authentication, diagnostics, vehicle electrical interfaces, legislated compliance, vehicle assembly and service tool interfaces, etc.)

  • Troubleshoot vehicle level integration issues including hardware, software, calibration, instrumentation and vehicle wiring

  • Support development trips, assembly plant activities, prototype shops, experimental garages and development fleet and test fleet vehicle activities

  • Develop experimental software for proposed changes

  • Conduct/participate in work product reviews for algorithm, software, and specifications incorporating I/O functional requirements and test cases

Additional Job Description

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science with 2+ years of experience

  • A track record of "defect free and timely execution” and the ability to support multiple programs and/or activities.

  • Ability to manage and lead multiple projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results

  • Willingness/aptitude for learning to work in new environments and with new tools

  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others

  • High level of oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills

  • MS in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science with 5+ years of experience

  • Experience with MATLAB, software code generation, ETAS, CANalyzer, VehicleSpy

  • Knowledge and experience in control system integration and testing of hardware and software

  • Knowledge of serial data communications (e.g. CAN, GMLAN, LIN)
