Job SummaryThe Commercial Loan Operations Builder Finance Specialist's main function is to support the Home Builder Finance Group in booking new home starts in the AFS construction module and any corresponding obligations in AFS Level III, funding new loans, advances, draws, paydowns and review of loan package prior to funding.Job Responsibilities:* Adding new starts to Construction module and corresponding obligations (when applicable) to AFS Level III. Also requires review of new start package to ensure that all documentation is accurate and accounted for, i.e. flood certs, deeds, title work, appraisal and appraisal review.* Adding fees to Level III accurately and funding of draws, advances and paydowns via wire or deposits to FSB accounts.* Creating electronic files of complete loan documentation and adding to spreadsheets for various items that cannot be accounted for in AFS.* Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.Job Requirements:* High School Diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent required.* 1-2 years in commercial loan operations or commercial servicing; Must have considerable understanding of commercial loan documentation.* Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret commercial loan documentation.* Attention to detail.* Good analytical and problem solving skills.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Willingness to work in a team environment.* Intermediate understanding of MS Excel.* Automated Financial Systems (AFS) experience preferred.
