Aerotek Controls Engineer in THREE RIVERS, Michigan
Day to Day - You will be working on projects that are assigned to you. Project work will be assessed and distributed based on the starting skills of the Controls Engineer. You will be responsible for doing electrical schematic drawings and then programming PLCs from scratch and troubleshooting any issues. Once the team is confident in their ability to work on complex machinery, they will travel to customer sites. (about 10-15%)
Working with custom automated equipment so every project will be different.

*Ability to program PLCs from scratch (Allen Bradley)
*HMI programming experience
*Ability to create electrical drawings - They use Solidworks Electrical but any CAD program is acceptable
*Hands-on Mechanical Aptitude (understanding of mechanics: would like someone that works on their own car or fixes mechanical things or has mechanical hobbies)
*4 year Engineering Degree (preferably in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, but open to other Engineering degrees)
