Tenneco is looking for a Product Manager. The Product Manager of control arms and ball joints will assist and drive strategy development and implementation across different functional organizations within the group including sales, engineering, manufacturing and others. Key success indicators include sustainable growth and profitability of product categories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in development and execution of product and pricing plans in coordination with brand and program strategies

  • Communicate effectively new business growth and pipeline opportunites, profitability analysis, product offering, pricing, quotes along with other critical information to management, sales leaders and key customers

  • Establish respective product value proposition and set direction for market and price positioning.

  • Provide analysis and assessment of market, competitive landscape and products to guide profitable growth initiatives.

  • Communicate to customers the key functional characteristics of respective products and identify and communicate key design and related performance attributes of products.

  • Develop financial models including cost structure and profitability analysis.

Required Experience

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required. Higher level degree in business, engineering or corresponding work experience preferred.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of progressive work experience within, product management, business development, sales or engineering.

  • Expertise in the creation and use of spreadsheets, databases and presentations.

  • Understand and analyze the basic manufacturing process of respective products.

  • Ability to effectively assess value streams, decision drivers, critical paths to market, competitor assessment and strategic product positioning.

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Effective communication skills to convey key concepts/strategies across organization groups and to executive management.

  • Fluently speak, read and write in English.

  • Commit, when required, to travel up to 20% of working time.
