Emergent Holdings MTM Technician in Southfield, Michigan
This position is responsible for supporting clinical and operational processes for the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) program. Responsibilities include executing MTM interventions by promoting program benefits with BCBSM Medicare Part D members. The MTM Technician will interact with BCBSM staff pharmacists, interns, pharmacy students and Medicare Part D members.RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: * Monitor toll free call center, handle in-coming member calls, including member opt-outs. * Schedule interactive Comprehensive Medication Review calls between Medicare Part D members and staff pharmacists * Maintain call logs and spreadsheets for MTM membership. * Monitor MTM electronic mailbox and respond appropriately * Maintain MTM program files. * Assist in the research, analysis, identification, and evaluation of data from assigned problems to evaluate existing and potential trends and issues. * Assist in monitoring program initiatives, outcomes, and objectives to ensure goal attainment * Assist in identifying resolution of challenges and issues in order to fulfill key corporate objectives Assist in development of plans, reports, papers, and creation of other documents. * Other duties as required. EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED required. At least two (2) years of college preferred.Current unrestricted Michigan Pharmacy Technician License orPharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) required.EXPERIENCE:* At least two (2) years' experience in retail or hospital pharmacy preferred * Knowledge of prescription drug names and therapeutic classes * Experience with Medicare Part D prescription benefits is preferred SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED: (Brief bullet points detailing the skills necessary for this position) * Strong customer service and phone skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Project management skills preferred * High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products * Ability to work independently, within a team environment, and communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels. * Knowledge of pharmacy claims processing is preferred * Understanding of formularies and utilization management edits * Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
