div divdivdivspanspanspanbspanspanspanGENERAL SUMMARY:/span/span/span/b/span/span/spanspanspanspanspanspanspanUnder direct supervision, the Associate Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education./span/span/span/span/span/spanspanspanspanbspanspanspanESSENTIAL DUTIES: /span/span/span/b/span/span/spanullispanspanspanspanspanspanMonitor patients undergoing routine invasive, interventional procedures. Provide intra-procedural technical support and quality patient/family centered care. /span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanMay be required to perform and record hemodynamichysiologic wave forms and calculations./span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanCommunicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, families, and all ancillary departments while consistently demonstrating the Beaumont Standards./span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanPerform quality assurance checks on technical equipment. Perform department skills validations./span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanMaintain radiation safety standards for staff and patients in compliance with the Beaumont Radiation Safety Department./span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanRequired to take On Call per department schedule. /span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanIR Special Procedure Techs must be able to 1st assist physicians using sterile technique, and fully participate in 3D imaging, vascular, and cerebral cases if performed at the site within 6 months./span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanCath Lab Special Procedure Techs, if performed at the site, must be able to utilize IVUS, FFR, OCT, and ICE within 6 months of hire./span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanEP Lab Special Procedure Techs, if performed at the site, must be able to utilize ICE, participate in device Implants, and circulate in all other EP cases by the end of orientation./span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanIt is required that employee completes 12 hours/year CEU's related to the field of practice./span/span/span/span/span/span/li/ulspanspanspanbspanspanspanSTANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:/span/span/span/b/span/span/spanspanspanspanbspanspanspanEducation / Training: /span/span/span/b/s
