The Procurement Operations Analyst is the business side technical expert on Ariba purchase-to-pay functionality. Responsibilities for this system administration role include maintaining complex master data elements, coordinating with internal and external teams to resolve issues, managing user security changes, and educating users. In addition, this position will assist with supplier enablement waves and perform analytical duties related to indirect spend reporting.
Acts as the Ariba functional / system administrator and is a liaison between the business and technical teams.
Oversees Ariba user security in coordination with IT and administers all user access requests, terminations and delegations. Leads efforts to research and address user security issues.
Understands / Maintains complex system elements and core functionality (e.g. approval workflow and receiving rules, commodity taxonomy, catalogs, guided buying tiles, and forms).
Leads / Performs the research, tracking, testing, and resolution of complex, technical issues in the purchase-to-pay process.
Assists in evaluating new features; Builds and executes detailed test plans
Develops / Maintains high-quality training materials, educates users and assists with troubleshooting.
Assists with supplier enablement waves and ensures vendors are prepared to transact with WWW on the Ariba Network.
Coordinates AP reporting by creating, running, analyzing and distributing BW, SAP & Ariba reports.
Provides transactional and operational support.
Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
4 yr. I.T., Supply Chain Management, Finance or Accounting degree, or related work experience
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; Able to research complex system issues, analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations and coordinate technical changes
Excellent organizational skills; Able to manage multiple items simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
Demonstrates leadership and initiative in anticipating and solving issues; self-motivated and naturally inquisitive
Able to perform tasks quickly while maintaining excellent attention to detail
Excellent verbal / written communication skills; Tailors communications based on the audience and conveys thoughts professionally and effectively
Handles complex situations, and able to lead small projects, with minimal direction
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) required; Demonstrated ability to compile data quickly and accurately, and use advanced Excel functionality (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay practices preferred; Experience with corporate reporting and AP systems (e.g. SAP, Ariba, BW) preferred
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required
