Aerotek Administrative Assistant in Rochester Hills, Michigan

Description:

Mon-Fri (40 hours per week.

**Mon - Fri: 7am-4:30pm

This position provides administrative and secretarial support for the Production Manager and supporting functions. In addition to typing, filing, scheduling, and working on special projects. Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, and recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Answers phones for company and takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions. Works in cooperation with other system development assistants to cover phones.

  2. Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Acts as project manager for special projects, which may include planning and coordinating multiple presentations.

  3. Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, etc…

  4. Compiles weekly reports for Production Manager

  5. Updates Measurement charts monthly (Absenteeism, On time Delivery, etc…)

  6. Acts as an administrator for various company initiatives.

MUST HAVE:

  • High School Degree

  • 2 years of experience in an administrative/clerical role

  • Self-motivated, initiative

  • Ability to work schedule/attendance/not calling in

  • Outgoing, people skills are a huge plus
