Adient US LLC Senior Manager Purchasing in Plymouth, Michigan

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Sr. Purchasing Manager, is based within our Seat Structures Mechanisms (SSM) business unit. The role is responsible to lead a team of 4-6 operational buyers that support the SSM business unit. In addition, the is responsible to:•Meet or exceed business unit profit plan goals, including: cost savings, economics, quality, supplier rationalization, diversity spend, working capital improvements and other key metrics•Ensure on-time sourcing and sourcing to target by operational purchasing team•Engage with internal business unit customers such as account financial managers, program managers, platform directors, costing and engineering•Support plant needs including: supply issues, accounts payable, PO issuance•Lead, motivate, support and develop purchasing staff members relating to the operational purchasing team.•Improvement of program profitability through continuous improvement, VA/VE activities and global sourcing•Supporting in implementing purchasing strategies for all SSM commodities•Ensure the cost, quality and time-oriented supply of all Adient plants with the required products in line with the respective business plans, budgets, targets and strategiesQualifications•Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related technical field.
