Pump Technology Solution (U.S.) LLC is part of the global leading automotive hydraulic steering pump supplier Pump Technology Solutions GmbH, and is currently operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Robert Bosch Automotive Steering LLC. Our company’s main office is located in the Detroit, MI area and supports sales and engineering functions related to automotive hydraulic steering pump products for all regional customers (OEM, OES). Our warehouse in Summerville, SC, serves as the main hub for all incoming goods from Germany, Brazil, and China and the distribution of goods to local customers.

Job Description

  • Perform all general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, processing month/year-end closings and creating financial statements for internal reporting and tax preparer, reconciling bank statements, managing liquidity and planning cash requirements/intercompany loan balance with general manager and HQ financial group.

  • Maintain SAP financial data tables as required and coordinate with HQ staff to set up vendor and customer master data records.

  • Perform all controlling functions, including, but not limited to:

  • Coordinating annual NA business plan and quarterly forecasts with local management and HQ controlling.

  • Performing month-end/year end closing activities and reporting key data metrics actual vs plan.

  • Coordinating transfer pricing and providing year-end margin reconciliation with HQ.

  • Supporting sales group with costs for quoting, maintaining SAP standard costing information.

  • Providing ad-hoc reports and analysis for management as requested.

  • Coordinate annual physical inventory with logistics group, processing ledger adjustments when needed.

  • Maintain records and documentation for legal and internal audit purposes.

  • Coordinate with external service providers, such as insurance, tax, legal, audit and IT services.

  • Provide backup assistance for HR and Sales members, including, but not limited to, payroll submission and interfacing with payroll provider, interfacing with benefits providers, verifying travel expense reports, reconciling purchasing and travel credit card statements.

  • Entering direct, indirect and customer purchase orders into SAP

  • Assisting with Sales forecasts

  • The position will also cross train to provide back-up assistance with HR, purchasing and sales administration activities.


  • BA in Business/Finance

  • 5 years experience in broad-based general accounting.

  • Experience with US GAAP requirements

  • 3 years experience with SAP/similar ERP/Business Intelligence (BI) system

  • Expereinced with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)


  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Strong presentation, interpersonal skills and analytical capabilities
