Masco Corporation Supply Chain NPD Partner in Novi, Michigan
This position represents and executes Supply Chain responsibilities within cross functional Product Development (PD) teams responsible for development through launch of new product initiatives including product/quality improvements cost reductions and end of life.
The Supply Chain NPD Partner is responsible for actively participating in all NPD cross functional team meetings, provides communication regarding supply chain status, supports development of NPD business cases, represents supply chain in all product-life-cycle assessments (e.g. End of life) and is the primary POC for cost-out activities initiated within the NPD programs. In addition, this role supports supply chain metrics and improvement priorities, supply chain related activities and plays a key role in supporting overall new product development, working with external suppliers and internal manufacturing locations to coordinate both component part and finished good launch activities.
Manage 10+ projects at different stages with varying sizes
Responsible for all parts and components that have NPD supply chain requirements
Manages supply chain responsibilities from Gates 1-5 to support cross functional team success with on-time, on-budget, 95%+ delivery performance
Responsible for coordinating across all supply chain departments any cost-out or quality initiatives that initiate within PD Teams
Manages supply chain responsibilities for end of life activities
Chair regular Supply Chain PD meetings to keep Director, Supply Chain and all Supply Chain managers up to date on responsibilities, deliverables and accountabilities.
Achieving shared PD team goals – launch date, start-up costs, contribution margin, delivery performance, quality, volume, feature set, reduce cycle time
Delivery – 95%+ on-time delivery for finished goods, build ahead inventory delivery
Cost –monitor E&O and air freight minimization of NPD products
Education and Experience/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Information Technology from an accredited institution required
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain and/or new product development
Strong analytical skills including the ability to develop and update large Microsoft Excel documents
Experience in managing many parts amongst multiple projects and related tasks while successfully achieving deadlines is a must
Ability to quickly learn and work within a variety of computer systems.
This person must have a strong attention to detail, deadlines and holding self and others accountable.
Experience with Microsoft Access is a plus.
Certifications in LEAN, APICS and/or Six Sigma
