Job Description:

Provides analytical support to the Global Clean Air Finance Organization. Performs ad-hoc analysis; prepares monthly / quarterly internal / external reporting packages, consolidates financial reporting, supports financial systems updates/ maintenance. Ability to perform accurate, timely financial analysis and provides recommendations. Contributes to the strategic and annual operating plans.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports Clean Air month-end close process by reviewing financial data, performs analysis and prepares consolidated reporting packages timely for distribution to leadership team

  • Ensures financial reports accurately reflect financial performance in accordance with GAAP and Tenneco’s policies

  • Performs ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested by leadership team.

  • Supports the business planning processes (strategic plan, annual operating plan and monthly forecasts).

  • Engages with BU leaders, plant controller, finance team in all aspects of financial and operations reporting.

  • Actively participates in the implementation of financial systems, tools, procedure / policies.

  • Reviews Balance Sheet and ensures internal audit processes and controls are operating effectively.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Please Note:

This position will start in Glass Lake, MI but, will relocate to Tenneco New Customer Center in Northville, MI - late 2018

Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • Minimum New or recent graduate experience with Financial analysis or finance role (Co-op or Intern experience, a plus)

  • Excellent PC skills Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with SAP, nice to have

  • Automotive experience, nice to have

  • Manufacturing experience

  • Solid project management, financial analysis, and communication skills

  • Excellent team skills

  • Ability to set goals and deliver timely and accurate results
