Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union VP of Retail in Midland, Michigan

The VP of Retail is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing and directing the Retail, Credit and Member Solutions departments. Reports to and works closely with the President/CEOto grow the member base and provide world-class service. They assess credit trends, analyze industry alerts and reports to manage the credit union's loan default risk.Responsible for reviewing, planning, evaluating, and establishing the retail delivery and sales culture.They prepare and present committee presentations using skillful analytics in accordance with credit union policies and objectives. Act as a member of the senior management team and contributes to the organization's vision, culture, direction, guidance and regulatory compliance to support the organization's overall strategy, growth and operations. liWorks with other members of the Senior Leadership team to develop and carry out strategic plans.Assists in development of financial plans and goals for the credit union./li liProvides executive-level thought leadership and contributes to operational planning, and execution for credit analysis activities./li liDetermines goals, budgets and objectives for the market to align with strategic vision./li liResponsible for the administration of branch operations, branch profitability, and collaborates for effective marketing campaigns aligned with all retail services./li liParticipates in community, financial activities and organizations as a representative of the credit union and maintains current knowledge of the needs of the communities served./li liLeads teams to fulfillment of key performance measures and strategies for the branch delivery system./li liCreates and sustains a culture where employees seek to deepen member relationships by asking the right questions and determining the right product fit to expand the number of accounts and services utilized by members./li liCultivates and evolves the member journey in all retail/branch operations understands the life cycle of the member./li liProvides leadership and coaching to develop and encourage staff performance while establishing succession plans and a culture of career development./li liLeverages technology, automation, and employee engagement to deliver and drive efficiencies and effectiveness./li liWorks extensively with the SEGs to ensure the credit union's ability to make contacts and continue to build and grow relationships. Overall management of the credit unions onboarding and re-boarding program to drive FOM through campaigns and partnerships. Understands and defines segmentation of membership base and varying service strategies./li liEnsures that adequate processes are in place to preserve the credit union's assets by controlling delinquent accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments, and the recovery of collateral, as necessary/li liPlans creative concepts that will improve retail operation's ability to reach targeted audience./li liManages the implementation process of service policies and standards for member service in all retail roles and member solutions to ensure satisfaction and retention./li /ul Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. A Master's Degree is preferred. Years of Experience: 10 years in banking, credit union operations, or experience operating in a highly regulated financial services industry with knowledge of bankproducts,services, systems, operational policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance issues
