We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Worker to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a team-minded individual who would like to contribute to the companyrsquo;s growth. Position Overview: The Facilities Maintenance position is responsible to ensure buildings and grounds are in top condition and perform a variety of work for maintenance and repairs. Essential Functions: liPerform preventive maintenance, repair, and construction in connection with electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, exterior and interior of buildings, grounds, and grounds equipment/li liConduct routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and building systems/li liAcquire and coordinate proposals, make recommendations, and oversee contractors for building and grounds projects and maintenance (ie lawn care, snow removal, building projects)/li liRemove snow and ice from building walkways and steps; rake leaves, mow grass, clean and sweep as needed/li liPrioritize and process work orders pertaining to maintenance/repair of facilities and grounds/li liMonitor and ensure adequate inventory of supplies and parts related to buildings and grounds (ie light bulbs, ice salt, etc)/li liAssist with storage and movement of raw materials and finished goods/li liContribute to the development of a maintenance budget and ensure compliance/li liExecute a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair projects/li /ul Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibility, but will serve as a coach and mentor for others. Skills Qualifications: liSkilled in the use of hand and power tools; ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches/li liBasic knowledge of construction, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems/li liAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings/li liKnowledge of measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures/li liUse of logic and reasoning in daily decision making and problem solving/li liStrong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication/li liHighly organized with attention to detail and strong time management/li liBasic computer proficiency/li liForklift and aerial lift experience preferred, ability to become certified within 30 days required/li liValid driverrsquo;s license required; must be insurable by company policy/li liAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently; physical stamina and dexterity/li /ul Education Experience: liHigh school diploma or equivalent/li liMinimum 2 years maintenance and/or construction
