The Digital Merchandising Content Specialist is responsible for following digital merchandising best practices and maintaining and updating product information via Content Management and PIM (product information management) systems ensuring that the content, data, and the overall experience will meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Ensure all product content and data housed within Dart’s content management platforms is accurate and follows the correct product marketing strategy

  • Maintain product data, content and images with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

  • Write keyword rich product descriptions to be used on dartcontainer.com, solocup.com, and partner websites coordinating with internal groups responsible for setting product marketing strategy and ensuring that products are discoverable via search

  • Guide the development of new assets created by internal creative services team to be used to support e-commerce and digital marketing efforts

  • Conduct merchandising reviews of partner websites in order to assess Dart’s product content to make recommendations to improve Dart product content

  • Maintain an exceptional understanding of our product lines, customers, and consumers

  • Establish project plans, regularly monitor and track progress

  • Utilize customer feedback via ratings & reviews, feedback, questions and answers, comments and customer satisfaction surveys to identify content optimization opportunities

  • Execute project plans, regularly monitor and track progress

  • Collaborate with digital marketing teammates to ensure marketing content is in line with overall customer experience strategy

    Core Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Associate degree or the equivalent of four (4) years of experience in a PIM (Product Information Management) system(s); Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Creative Writing or related field of study preferred

  • One (1) year of experience working in a business environment

  • Demonstrated ability using testing and analytics to make data-driven decisions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to think strategically and see how parts interact with the big picture

  • Ability to effectively execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities

  • Ability to streamline processes, integrate, and associate pieces of information gathered from multiple sources and apply to projects

  • Ability to establish project plans, regularly monitor and track progress on work projects, and communicate with project partners

  • Ability to develop and edit copy following Dart’s brand voice

  • Ability to analyze online metrics and make recommendations

  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of experience working in a business environment

  • Experience using, maintaining and updating product information via Content Management and PIM (product information management) systems

  • Background/experience in marketing, writing and/or data analysis

  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices

  • Knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central
