D S North, LLC dba Mission Point Resort in Mackinac Island, MI seeks five Laundry Attendants for temporary, full-time employment (04/01/2021 to 11/02/2021). Duties: Maintain cleanliness of all linen at Mission Point Resort. Complete all work within the given time frame. Properly use cleaning products to ensure safety and thorough cleaning. Maintain a neat and organized workspace. Sort all linen received. Use machines to wash and dry all linens according to procedure; iron; press linens; fold, organize, and store all linens. Follow instructions of the Laundry Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager at all times. Perform additional laundry attendant duties as assigned.May perform other job duties pursuant to 51-6011.00, Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Workers.35 hours/week, OT varies; shifts are often 7+ hours with 30 minute unpaid break each shift; 5 days/week (Sun-Sat, schedule varies and includes evenings and weekends; business is open 7 days/week); shifts vary based on venue and may be any time between 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.No formal education, training or experience necessary. On-the-job training will be provided.Must be available to work dates of employment and hours/shifts stated in job listing. Must be able to walk, stand, and move for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, kneel and reach. Must be able to speak and understand English.$12.50/hr; O/T $18.75/hr; Workers will be paid no less than $12.50 per hour. Employer may pay higher wage rates to workers based on seniority with employer and level of skill. Overtime hours may vary and will be paid no less than $18.75 per hour. Workers also have the option of securing their own lodging./liliEmployer will make all deductions from the workerrsquo;s paycheck required by law; Employer may make non-legally required payroll deductions permitted under the law and requested by Employee./liliEmployer will arrange pay directly for transportation subsistence from place of recruitment to place of work. Employer will issue reimbursement within the first workweek when required to meet FLSA minimum wage obligations. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, if the worker has no immediately subsequent H-2B employment, the employer will provide or pay for workerrsquo;s reasonable costs of return transportation subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
