This Oakland County firm has a great culture and environment and they are presently seeking a Senior Technical Accountant. If you are hired for this Senior Technical Accountant position you will be responsible for: managing the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting process for approximately 5-8 subsidiaries; lead responsibility for preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external financial statements, as well as all regulatory financial statements and footnotes (10-Q, 10-K); lead responsibility for technical GAAP research, accounting issues, as well as make/buy, insure/self-insure, and sale/leaseback transactions across the company; serve as primary contact for the external auditors for all review, audit and benefit plan engagements, including preparing and reviewing internally-prepared audit schedules; perform all purchase accounting functions for acquisitions, directly supervised financial reporting staff of two; and have other special projects including presentations to executive management.
