**The Michigan Lottery is looking for a dependable, honest, motivated, and hardworking individual with a positive attitude and strong ethical standards to join our team!
To qualify for the position, you must be currently enrolled and regularly attending a post-secondary educational institution** or must have been recently accepted to a post-secondary educational institution with the intent to attend school in the fall.
This position is responsible for assisting the Department Services unit in performing a variety of duties in the Lansing Claims Office. Duties include waiting on customers, processing winning ticket claims and payments, and performing reception duties. The position will also be responsible for performing special assignments and projects as needed.

Please note: Employees who are employed in the Student Assistant classification are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week or 129 hours per month.

Please note: Lottery employees and family members residing within the same household are prohibited from purchasing lottery tickets and from participating as a worker in charitable gaming events licensed by the bureau (e.g. bingo, raffle, etc.).
Civil Service Rule 2-7 requires that all newly hired state employees submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to their actual appointment. The position will also require the selected candidate to pass a criminal history background check.
