Overview of Job Function:

The Senior DevOps Engineer assists with leading the DevOps efforts and plays a critical role in the delivery of secure and scalable services and products. The Serior Engineer helps shape the overall DevOps culture that enables the success of software engineers at Verint. The successful candidate is proficient using the latest DevOps tools and technologies to automate solutions and optimize outcomes and provisions and administers static and dynamic infrastructure, implementing continuous integration and deployment in a challenging and fast paced environment.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provision new and manage existing Cloud (AWS, GCP) infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot production issues and take ownership in defining and resolving root causes as well as applying necessary measures to prevent their recurrence.

  • Create and implement automation and related playbooks, processes, workflows etc.

  • Improve and modernize processes around deployments.

  • Proactively seek out gaps and opportunities to improve the infrastructure, security, processes etc.

  • Participate in on-call rotation schedule as a senior escalation point

  • Proactive and effective communicator both within our team and with other teams in the company

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required

  • 5+ years of hands-on Infrastructure and Applications support

  • 5+ years Cloud management (AWS, GCP, Azure etc.)

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with container platforms

  • Advanced, hands-on experience with multipleautomation frameworks – Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation andCI/CD tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, Spinnaker

  • Advanced, hands-on experience with multiple languages (Python, Bash, GoLang)

  • Advanced Knowledge and understanding of repositories - GIT/Github, Artifactory, Docker Hub, SVN etc.

  • Working knowledge and experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, DC/OS, Docker etc.)

  • Ability to learn and integrate new tools and technologies when needed

  • Experience supporting various application frameworks including Java and Node.js

  • Experience working with monitoring tools like Datadog, Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus and similar

  • Experience building and managing centralized logging technologies

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Networking and OS Administration.

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations

  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment

  • Defining processes, creating documentation, researching new technologies
