Our Lansing Area Client has an opportunity for a Manager of Release Management to join there team. Their IT evolution has been moving at a quick pace and using innovative tools.

  • Builds, develops, directs and provides strong leadership to the Release and Operation Excellence Team.

  • Key partner in presenting strategic alternatives and their relative benefits to the business and IT stakeholders.

  • Oversees a cross-business unit team to review & prioritize demand that falls outside of Core product teams.

  • Budget planning & forecasting based on short and long term strategies.

  • Responsible for the development/enhancement of the overall agile process methodology within IT. This includes coaching, tools, tracking, reporting, and training.

  • Responsible for the development/maintenance of the IT Agile Playbook,

  • Develop ServiceNow product and technology roadmaps from concept through launch. Update, disseminate, and provide on-going awareness of ServiceNow product roadmaps to the Enterprise.

  • Collaborate with internal technology teams and partners to define, design, and deliver on user stories and customer demand.

  • Meet regularly with customers (Stakeholders, Product Owners) in our businesses to understand their needs, capture user stories, and support their evolving needs.

  • Owns the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios.

  • Works with IT Management to improve the software engineering process and practices associates with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environment.

  • Define, track, and report on KPIs and success metrics relevant to current product offerings.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 8+ years relevant experience in IT


  • Experience with Agile Frameworks, Portfolio Management, Resource Planning and ServiceNow

  • 3+ years management, supervisory, or lead experience

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple ongoing priorities.

  • High level understanding of the IT organization and IT capabilities, strategies and priorities.

  • Understanding implications of changes to existing and new services as a result of strategies.

  • Knowledge of industry leading agile frameworks (Disciplined Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, others) and associated tools (ServiceNow, Jira, others)

  • Ability to effectively present budgetary and/or cost information, and respond to questions.
