The Operations Scheduling Professional (OSP) is accountable for generating and maintaining an optimum production schedule within SAP, balancing supply chain and production requirements, managing material availability, and resolving operational constraints across a 24/7 operation and multiple production areas. This position will require availability and support, as needed, across all shifts and weekends. The OSP maintains and continuously improves SAP configuration and data including, but not limited to heuristic selections for Detailed Scheduling board and alert profiles. This position is responsible to proactively identify potential risks to the production schedule and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to problem solve and avoid production disruptions. The OSP tracks performance to schedule while continuously improving the scheduling process. Teamwork along with strong written and verbal communication skills will be critical to achieving results. Success in this position is determined by maximizing product output to meet customer demand while effectively optimizing labor resource requirements and scheduling to achieve the greatest operational efficiencies.This position will support Pfizer Kalamazoo Sterile Filling Operations. This includes driving activities to lead and maintain alignment between manufacturing, prep and filling work centers as well as integrating Project, Maintenance and other resource demands into the production schedule.The successful Operations Scheduling Professional (OSP) candidate will be responsible for all activities related to shop floor production scheduling and related SAP management activities, including the following:•Construct and maintain finite production schedule within SAP, accounting for labor, equipment, and maintenance constraints alignment with customer demand and Master Scheduler planning requirements•Select and maintain appropriate scheduling SAP heuristics and alert profiles, based on knowledge of operational model with an emphasis on sustainable standard work processes•Communicate promptly and effectively with internal leaders, including area management and enabling team members•Facilitate schedule feasibility meetings•Track and analyze data essential for continuous improvement of schedule attainment•Develops appropriate metrics and action plans to ensure customer/business needs are met•Complies with all regulatory and GMP requirements•Partner with Master Scheduler for optimal midterm planning horizon•Provide support and backup to other Drug Product colleagues responsible for shop floor planning activities•Proactively highlight issues that could impact the schedule and lead efforts to eliminate or minimize delays•Actively facilitate interactions and communication between the supply chain organization and shop floor colleaguesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS•BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business or Related Fields; OR•5+ years related experience with Associates Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Related Fields; OR•8+ years related experience with High School Diploma or equivalentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS•Previous shop floor production knowledge or scheduling experience in production environmentPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS•Develop solutions to routine problems following established Pfizer policies and procedures.•Oral and written communication skills to communicate plans, status and metrics to leadership and shop floor.•Knowledge of basic supply planning discipline.
