Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and a high level of safety awareness among associates. Maintains excellent housekeeping practices through 5S implementation with appropriate audits
Assures compliance of distribution processes to company quality policies, ISO standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Quality Systems Regulations (QSR).
Participates in internal/external quality and customer audits.
Utilizes the change control process to develop and implement corrective action to eliminate defects/non-conformances and to drive continuous improvement
Reviews daily workload to establish plan that ensures goals are attained. Anticipates operational and personnel problems and implements controls to minimize their effect on the daily schedule
Documents standard work and ensures distribution processes and personnel adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
Escalates issues as appropriate, working closely with other functional departments to achieve overall goals and objectives
Maintains proper staffing levels, scheduling, and organizing work assignments within the department, while adhering to company policies and procedures
Maintains associates files in the areas of attendance, productivity, and quality and provides regular reviews, counseling, and disciplinary action if and when required
Coaches, trains, and manages employees to improve their abilities and skill levels
Conducts semi-annual performance review processes to deliver optimal business results
Maintains positive employee relations through the use of proficient and open communication skills
Listens, supports, engages, and encourages employee suggestions and input to achieve excellent results
Works closely and build rapport with personnel across a variety of departments and functions within the facility
Assists in maintaining control over departmental budget by managing labor utilization, overtime, and supplies
