The Medical Physicist at WMCC is responsible for the execution of radiation physics procedures which fulfill the prescriptive intent of the physician. Each day, this employee must STRIVE to make a difference for your co-workers and the patients.
Board Certification as a Medical Radiation Physicist by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physicists is required.
A minimum of two years of professional experience in field of physics in radiation medicine, or equivalent, is required.
Must be highly proficient in radiation physics, dosimetry, clinical radiation therapy techniques and practices, and the operation of various types of radiation therapy and simulating equipment.
Must be able to read, comprehend and follow complicated treatment plans and have the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations. The ability to solve technical discrepancies is required.
