The role is highly collaborative, going beyond basic data collection and spreadsheets. The Financial Analyst understands the make-up of the client organization and the details of the operations across the entire business unit. This deep level of integration builds affinity, trust and credibility enabling process adherence, transparency and quality financials. This role requires the analyst to be comfortable providing recommendations regarding client operations that may or may not be favorable to the clients but will help the company achieve its financial goals.Responsibilities:ulliCollaborate with clients to convert operating plan into a financial forecast on a monthly basis./liliCollaborate with clients to execute budget, forecast and long-term planning processes/liliPrepare and analyze monthly/annual reporting including financials, unit-cost, performance and headcount/liliMonth-end close process including advance bookings (accruals), miscellaneous journal entries and associated analysis/liliElectric and Gas rate case support/liliOther miscellaneous accounting, financial and supply chain assistance/li/ulRequirements:ulliBachelor's degree in finance or related area./lili2+ yrs of experience/li/uluOverview/uThe Financial Analyst Job Family is utilized primarily in the Finance department. Performing all of the Financial functions for the Company including but not limited to: analyzing financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions, assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports, evaluate and compare the relative quality of various securities, interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability, future trends in investment risks, and economic influences.uNature of Work/uAt the lowest level in this job family, the work performed may tend to be of a routine and less complex nature where the work responsibilities can be proficiently performed after a relatively short training period.At the highest levels in this job family the work performed will tend to be of a complex nature involving knowledge of various functional/specialized disciplines where the work responsibilities can only be proficiently performed after a relatively long training / experience-related time period and often requires an advanced degree.
