Cleveland-Cliffs, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for an Electrical PlannerSupervisor role at our Cliffs Michigan Operations. This role is responsible for contributing to the plant electrical team by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of electrical planning and supervising. Most importantly, will demonstrate a safety conscious mindset.uPosition Responsibilities/u:ulliResponsible for short and long range planning, ordering parts and materials, prioritizing, assigning and reviewing work performed and will strive to exceed process standards./liliPerforms equipment inspections and training needs assessments./liliParticipates in the budget preparation, estimates, justification and administration./liliAssists department personnel in resolving problems to minimize equipment downtime./liliDevelops and maintains positive and productive working relationships./liliDemonstrates excellent communication skills, competence, judgment, work ethic, integrity, a positive attitude and character that inspires trust./liliConducts toolbox and safety meetings and leads other related meetings and/or teams./liliConducts work-time standards surveys and accident/injury investigations./liliResponsible for reviewing, editing and creating standard job procedures to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently./liliDemonstrates commitment to process improvement, problem solving and high professional ethical standards./liliDemonstrates appropriate leadership style in varying circumstances./liliEnsure that all work performed is done safely and that all work areas are maintained to meet or exceed Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) standards./li/uluQualifications/u:Education:ulliA college degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience is required./li/ulExperience:ulli3+ years of related heavy industry experience/liliMinimum of 1 year of supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role/liliExperience in an electrical craft/liliExperience with large motors, power distribution and associated control/liliProject experience, including installation and start-ups/liliExperience in a union environment preferred/li/ulSkills/Knowledge:ulliComputer skills: Proficiency in MS Office/liliMust have excellent communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal/liliDemonstrates a strong understanding of the technical requirements of the job/li/ulWork Physical RequirementsulliMust have a valid driver's license./liliMust have the ability to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders and work on elevated platforms in an industrial setting with, on and around moving and mechanical parts./liliExposure to fumes, noise, dust, dirt, vibrations and extreme temperatures./liliMust be committed to safety and have the ability and willingness to understand and apply safety rules, practice safe work habits to prevent on the job accidents and injuries, identify safety risks and avoid potentially risky behaviors and situations.Must utilize all protective equipment as assigned/required./liliMust work safely and efficiently and not cause a threat to the health and safety of self and others./liliCliffs Michigan Operations operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
