With the growing customer demand for the Next Generation Power Family (NGPF) of engines, Pratt & Whitney Auto Air is expanding its team of quality professionals in direct support of facility expansion. In this role of Supplier Quality Engineer, you will follow customer requirements, regulatory requirements and corporate policies to ensure the production of compliant products. Other responsibilities include:
Review of engineering documentation to ensure it contains the necessary quality assurance and customer provisions and criteria
Quality Focal Point for Supplier and Vendor interactions
Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities
Perform as an integrated team leader with engineering, customer service support, and operations to investigate and correct various quality issues related to supplier provided parts and products as well as vendor provided services
Participate on multi-functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadership, with coaching and assistance by the Quality Clinic and Quality Technical Managers
3+ years of experience resolving customer problems/issues
US citizenship/green card holder required due to government contracts
Lean Six Sigma desirable
CQA / CQE desirable
Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner
Proficient with PC programs, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access), Minitab
Problem solving and statistical analysis experience using quality tools (Pareto analysis, statistical process control, multi-variant DOE, 8D, etc.)
Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, ISO
Knowledge of Document Control and Calibration systems
Ability to query data from SAP and Solumina database systems
Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities
High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement
Highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed and pursue continued growth and developmental opportunities
Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management and external customers
