CHS Inc. Operations Specialist in Holland, Michigan
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Retail division! We are looking for an Operations Specialist to join our growing team as a Panel Operator for the second shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm). You must be customer focused, hardworking, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. This position has the opportunity for growth.
Operate computerized feed batching equipment to manufacture livestock feeds.
Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently and in a manner that assures accuracy and high quality.
Be responsible for all feed mill operations in a safe and efficient manner.
Monitor and maintain quality of inventory.
Assist with production scheduling, inventory planning and control.
Assist with maintenance and repair as needed.
Determine proper routing and distribution for manufactured feeds.
Perform necessary sequencing, recording, and documenting of all feed manufactured during the shift.
Perform regular and periodic housecleaning processes and record keeping.
Oversee, assist, and/or supervise as required several of the following areas:
Finished feed routing
Sampling and quality assurance
Loading bulk delivery trucks
Provide excellent customer service and assist customers.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: (required)
High School diploma or GED
Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift 75 lbs.; climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins
Experience operating loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
Able to work in dusty conditions and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
Able to work extended hours to meet business demands
Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
Grain handling and operating mill experience
Knowledge of livestock feed
