Responsible for rounding on newborns, attending deliveries, resuscitation of sick infants and stabilization until NICU arrives. Opportunities to educate our moms prenatally and postnatal. Ability to communicate with providers, nursing staff and patients. M/spananaging patients and coordinating the services provided by multiple disciplines within and outside the health system. Maintains a collaborative practice agreement with specific physician(s). Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of selected protocolsrocedures. Provides educational support for patients/significant others, health team members and the community and coordinates QA/QI studies to measure outcomes of care.
