div divGENERAL SUMMARY:Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Mammography exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Follows Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:1. Performs quality Mammography and Breast Imaging Ultrasound exams after verification of patient identification, physician order and correct exam charge in EPIC.2. Demonstrates ability to proficiently operate Mammography and ultrasound imaging equipment.3. Obtain the highest quality images by using the appropriate techniques for patient positioning for screening, tomography, and diagnostic exams, invasive mammography procedures and breast ultrasound imaging.4. Monitors patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.5. Maintains and pursues professional development per ARRT and/or ARMDS requirements.6. Knowledge with hospital computer site software systems for charging, viewing schedules and PACS for sending information both accurately and efficiently.7. Provides effective inter/intra-departmental communication and participation with medical staff, management, technical and support staff.8. Provide procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam.9. Clean and restock exam rooms, store rooms, and monitor department cleanliness.STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS* Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited RadiographyProgram.* Successful completion of a certified class for breast imaging ultrasound.* Minimum 2 Years' experience beyond staff radiographer level preferred.* Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Additional Mammography certification required within 1 year of hire and/or Registered by American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registry eligible, paid at the trainee rate for up to 1 year.* Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association/div div /div /divBR/Beaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
