Henry Ford Health System Anesthesiologist (part-time) for the Ambulatory Surgery Division in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan

The Henry Ford Health System is looking for an anesthesiologist to work as needed for the division of ambulatory surgery, which includes four sites in Grosse Pointe, Dearborn, Sterling Heights and Novi.

The Henry Ford Medical Group's Department of Anesthesiology has a long history of excellence in patient safety, multidisciplinary team-focused patient care, as well as education and research. The Department's board-certified anesthesiologists are at the forefront of providing advanced technologies for safe delivery of anesthesia to patients, managing more than 50,000 surgical procedures and more than 10,000 Pain Center patient visits every year.

The Department includes more than 30 senior staff anesthesiologists as well as physicians-in-training (residents and fellows) and certified registered nurse anesthesiologists. Anesthesiologists work closely with medical and surgical specialists and provide each patient a personalized care plan. This care plan matches the anesthesiology delivery method and type of medications to each patient's medical history, current condition, and required procedure or treatment.

We currently have Anesthesiology positions available in our Ambulatory facilities.

  • Board Certified in Anesthesiology as and when required by Medical Group Bylaws.

  • Experience working in an Anesthesia Care Team model with supervision and direction of MID-LEVEL anesthesia providers.

  • Working knowledge of the concepts of Perioperative Surgical Home (PSH) as applicable to Freestanding Ambulatory Surgery Centers

  • Understanding of and ability to work in a standardized, protocol based clinical practice
