Kforce User Support Analyst I (Hardware/Software Support) in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Kforce is assisting a client in the Grand Rapids, Michigan (MI) job market hire multiple User Support Analysts for permanent hire roles. These positions provide first level and 2nd level software and hardware technical support for business customers who are using the products and services provided by this firm. This position is for 1st Shift.Responsibilities include:

  • First point of contact to assist with all aspects of computer/network hardware and communications support

  • Provide primary technical support for internally developed systems and related hardware

  • Provide technical support for Managed Services technologies, including firewalls, servers, and routers

  • Assist on core product implementation projects and customer conversion projects

  • Provide support for Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems

  • Assist on network implementation projects such as domain migrations and firewall installations

  • Perform daily and weekly administrative and maintenance tasks on client hardware

  • High School diploma or GED/equivalent is required, College degree preferred

  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, Ping, Traceroute) and essential server administration (Active Directory user/group management, Exchange mailbox creation)

  • Desktop support skills, including Windows 7 and Windows 10

  • Ability to travel to client sites periodically to provide support, including overnight and weekend stays when necessary (typically a couple times a year)

  • Ability to perform technical support duties for hardware and software support

  • Ability to create technical product documentation for hardware/software installations, troubleshooting techniques, and problem resolution

  • Strong customer service focus and work style
