Manage, plan and lead a team accountable for providing financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities for an assigned business unit(s). Additional analysis includes but is not limited to variance analysis, forecasting/budgeting, financing-related factors, board presentations, capital planning and valuations.
Bachelor's Degree (Required) Finance
Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. MBA preferred.
Eight years experience in financial analysis with prior supervisory or leadership experience.
Hyperion product knowledge including Essbase and Hyperion Planning preferred.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Manage an FP&A team accountable for providing financial planning and analysis activities to an assigned business unit(s). Design senior management presentations and reports, variance analysis, and forecasts future results. Assist management in making better decisions and understanding past events so appropriate actions can be taken.
Perform appropriate financial analysis, business analysis, profitability and cost analysis for projects for the assigned business segment. May include valuation analysis of acquisitions, lease versus buy analysis, maintain versus close and new customer proposal support.
Perform plan reviews and special analysis including review proposals for major capital expenditures relative to their conformity with corporate plans and economic justification.
Manage the forecasting and budget development process.
Prepare board presentations and external reporting schedules.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the financial stability of the company's major customers and the overall financial climate of the company's market. Develop and implement financial statistical measures to evaluate the existing and future financial situation and makes timely recommendations to management concerning major changes in the existing environment.
Develop and foster strong business relationships with cross-functional departments and stay current on relevant FP&A best practices.
Consult and educate associates and management on financial statements and reports to assist with solving business issues.
Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals. Develop and monitor department budget as required.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best finance practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes.
