HarperCollins Publishers Digital Video Coordinator in Grand Rapids, Michigan
The primary responsibilities of the Digital Video Coordinator are to oversee and manage process flow for all Curriculum digital video assets and DVD production ensuring that tasks are effectively scheduled, tracked, and completed. Manage the communication and coordination with authors, independent contractors, Acquisitions Editors-Curriculum, Sr. Managing Editor-Curriculum, Video Producers in the Creative Services Dept., and Curriculum Marketing, and to assist in video asset distribution for Curriculum video products.
Oversee the schedule management for Curriculum digital video assets and DVD production, in collaboration with the Managing Editor, Acquisition Editor, and video producers.
Track each digital video through its production cycle, noting due dates, completion of tasks, freelance assignments, and process invoices.
Complete editorial tasks related to digital video production including but not limited to: video proofreading, graphics reviews, and video functionality on all media devices.
Coordinate the post-production editing process with outside video editors: gathering assets and delivery to the freelance editors, reviews of edits.
Coordinate final video session reviews with authors and internal staff.
Manage the digital assets created by the video production team, including but not limited to: requesting all digital files on hard drive, archiving on HCCP servers, formatting session files, creating and attaching metadata, and distributing assets to Study Gateway and retail distribution partners.
Preparing marketing video preview sessions, promotional video clips, and/or video product trailers for YouTube, social media, and retail website use.
Knowledge and Work Experience:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: specifically Premiere, Photoshop and In-Design, preferred
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience in digital publishing is preferred but not required
Knowledge of Christian authors is preferred but not required
- BA/BS required with degree in either Communications, English, Digital Multimedia or the equivalent
Ability to work with spreadsheets.
