Keefe Commissary Network, LLC Assistant Warehouse Manager in Grand Rapids, Michigan

DESCRIPTION GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Oversee all aspects of Distribution Center and On-site Commissary (s) in providing commissary operations and services to assigned locations and be acting Warehouse Manager in the Warehouse Manager s absence. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Maintain working knowledge of all phases of KCN* Assist with managing all aspects of supervising, training, scheduling and disciplining Full-Time and Part-Time managers/supervisors, stockers, shipping staff, drivers, and commissary staff for assigned KCN locations* Manage and accountable for all aspects of on-site inventory control including ordering, receiving, stocking product, and processing orders* Open and close facility as directed* Ensure all credited product is returned back into inventory properly* Perform and report weekly audit of high security items* Monitor and keep track of warehouse labor costs* Process and manage the administration of weekly time sheets for submission to payroll and maintain attendance calendars and employee files for on-site staff* Perform required Employee Performance reviews for employees (30-day, 90-day, annual)* Maintain all KCN areas/equipmentroducts in a neat, clean, and orderly manner* Maintain and insure all employees follow the policies and procedures of the warehouse and those outlined in the KCN Best Business Practices Guide at all times* Complete miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned by Warehouse Manager SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position has supervisory and non-supervisory direct reports including shipping staff and office personnel. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:* Valid driver s license* Forklift Certified OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of KCN Organization and the correctional facility in a professional manner.* Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.* Ability to work in a correctional environment* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly./
