Aerotek 3rd Shift Welder in Grand Rapids, Michigan


This is a 3rd shift fabrication position working 8:00pm - 6:30am Sunday - Thursday and (some Fridays if they work overtime)

You are going to be responsible for working from the blueprint drawings and the Plex computer system that they will get instructions for the day.

You will be trained on how to use the system. They will receive a kit from the cutting department with all of the required material, read the ISO 9000 blueprints that are basic symbols. They will be building shutes welding the steel. The material is mild or stainless steel up to 1 inch. They will be welding in MIG 90% of the time. They will be responsible for both horizontal and vertical up welds. Material that they will be welding on is Stainless, Aluminum, Metals. This is all team work in the fabrication department. They will not in one spot and Weld the same thing all day on your own. They typically work in 2 person teams.

Must Haves 3 years of MIG welding experience with Steel Ability to read basic blue print instructions Have the ability to work on a team Plus: TIG Brake Press Resistance Welder or Plasma Cutter
