Valley Area Agency on Aging Social Work Technician in Flint, Michigan

The Social Work Technician is responsible for assisting the Community Health Workers with day to day operations and may assist social workers with developing, organizing and conducting programs to prevent health barriers for seniors. Performance Responsibilities: ol liResponsible for tracking and monitoring assessments./li liResponsible for documenting assessments in the data management system./li liResponsible for keeping records organized and up to date./li liSubmit and review reports to the Supervisor./li liMake corrections to reports when errors are made./li liResponsible for answering the phones and troubleshooting calls./li liSchedule and cancel appointments for the Community Health Workers./li liAssist in developing, organizing and conducting programs for seniors./li liProvide information and/or refer clients to community agencies for services./li liBe knowledgeable about community resources appropriate to needs of the client./li liOther duties as assigned./li /ol Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
