H.W. Kaufman Group Senior Manager, Talent Development in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Kaufman Institute serves as the education provider for the wholesale insurance companies of the H.W. Kaufman Group. We are a team-based collaborative learning organization that provides various levels of learning to all H.W.K. associates including: new hire onboarding; compliance and regulatory; management and leadership; and sales and production related learning. The Senior Manager of Talent Development reports to the Managing Director of Kaufman Institute, and works in close partnership with the Kaufman Institute and HR teams, along with business leadership.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Partner with Kaufman Institute leadership on appropriate talent development programs and initiatives

  • Collaborate with Kaufman Institute associates, corporate and business leadership on designing and implementing talent development programs and initiatives

  • Track and evaluate the success of talent development programs and initiatives using a variety of systems, tools and metrics

  • Provide support on additional talent development, human resources and corporate initiatives

  • Contribute to the overall success of Kaufman Institute in a full-time, in-person capacity (typically 45-50 hours per week) at our corporate headquarters location in Farmington Hills, MI

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business, or Education with focus in adult learning

  • 7+ years of progressive impact with talent development focusing specifically on learning design, facilitation, new employee onboarding, management learning, team development and learning content management

  • The ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment where priorities may shift as dictated by business needs

  • High levels of self-awareness, accountability and integrity

  • The ability to take initiative, build strong relationships focusing on continuous improvement

  • Solid working knowledge of learning management systems and productivity applications such as Microsoft M365 (Teams, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), virtual conferencing tools such as WebEx, Zoom and GoToWebinar/GoToMeeting.
