TheDirector of Debt/Equity Placementwill head the firm’s efforts to originate debt and/or equity for commercial properties across all income producing product types, as a Commercial Mortgage Broker. While the company has many existing borrower and lender relationships that can be utilized for creating debt and equity placement opportunities, the ideal candidate will be an individual who has some existing borrower and lender relationships, at least three (3) years of mortgage or lending experience and proven track record of results in the field.

Responsibilities of the Director of Debt/Equity Placement will include:

  • Utilize the company’s existing borrower and lender relationships to facilitate both debt and equity placement opportunities for commercial properties nationwide.

  • Source new borrower and lender leads/relationships through phone canvassing, networking and participation in trade organization and other industry events.

  • Analyze property financial statements, prepare underwriting matrices and submit credit offering memorandum to various capital sources including life companies, CMBS conduits, specialty financiers and balance sheet lenders.

  • Negotiate and structure credit terms.

  • Facilitate lender due diligence.

  • Assist with closing related matters.


  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, real estate, finance or business.

  • Advanced understanding of real estate capital markets and valuation fundamentals.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in either commercial banking, specialty finance or commercial loan originations.

  • Experience performing commercial real estate due diligence.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is commission-based sales position with opportunity for unlimited earning potential. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mortgage broker who might be constrained by size, product or geographic limitations imposed by a current employer.
