Position Summary

Operation of ultrasound equipment for quality images in areas of abdomen, small parts, OB/GYN, vascular and breast exams. Taking and documenting patient history and technologist interpretation of scans. Pre and post processing of images and patient information in ARIS and PACS computer systems. Assisting physicians in various procedures and biopsies. Provide quality patient care. Stocking rooms, general maintenance of machines and exams rooms. Mentoring students as needed.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical, vocational or business school in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasonography; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in ultrasound examinations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

ARDMS certified.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with various procedures and vascular exams. 1 to 3 years of experience in ultrasound examinations, including Abdomen, OB/GYN and small parts.

Work hours are typically 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., but can vary as necessary to accommodate clinic hours

Summary of Health Risks

Exposure to human blood, serum, tissue and other body fluids; and materials covered under Universal Precautions; TB risk or work within three (3) feet of patients in a health care setting; wear a respirator. Covid precautions.
