h3Working/Functional Title/h3 Oncology Nurse Practioner h3Position Summary/h3 Provides independent, direct and specialized nursing care, as an Oncology care provider, to patients with oncologic disorders by performing physical examinations under protocol; focuses on symptom management for patients while undergoing therapy and provides ongoing follow-up for cancer survivors. This position is at the Breslin Cancer Center, located at McLaren of Greater Lansing (MGL), 401 W. Greenlawn Ave., Lansing, MI 48910. h3Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills/h3 Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work such as a Masters in Nursing; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in direct nursing care in a specialized area or a Master''s Degree in Nursing; up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in direct nursing care in a specialized area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position also requires possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse and specialty certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan.
