What You Will Do
Ascension St. John Hospital is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Academic - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Physician for our Level III NICU.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. John Hospital and Pediatric and Pediatric sub-specialty faculty to care for our most vulnerable patients.
NICU is staffed by neonatologists, pediatric residents and neonatal nurse practitioners
Annual admissions 400-500 with 10% transfers
Average inpatient census is 30 with range 22-45
All surgeries including PDA ligation but excluding CHD and ECMO
This is an employed position with a competitive and comprehensive benefits package.
- Clinical duties, week day and weekend on-call, teaching assignments and Level II service at affiliated hospitals shared throughout the year.
What You Will Need
- Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Interest in teaching
Prior experience with iNO, Total Body Cooling and HFOV required
