FCA US, LLC Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in Detroit, Michigan

The Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of refrigeration and air conditioning units, equipment and corresponding control systems. The Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning troubleshoots and repairs air handling units, dx, chilled water, hot water, humidifier systems, variable air volume boxes and all associated electric, pneumatic and direct digital controls. Additional responsibilities include servicing and maintaining both reciprocating and screw chillers, environmental test chambers as well as kitchen refrigeration equipment, custom automotive test cells, paint booths and building automation system (BAS).The Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning must hold such licenses as the laws of the community require.Basic Qualifications:bull;High School diploma or equivalent (GED)bull;Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work any shift and work some overtime, including daily, weekend and holidaysbull;Eight (8) years of documented experience or a U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as a Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in a Manufacturing Environmentbull;Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specificationsbull;Ability and knowledge in brazing and solderingbull;Ability and knowledge to clean, lubricate, or adjust parts and equipmentbull;Ability and knowledge to troubleshoot electrical controls, pneumatic controls, direct digital controls (DDC), and mechanical refrigeration components.bull;Ability and knowledge to install, troubleshoot and replace Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems and control modulesbull;Ability and knowledge in PLC programming as it relates to HVAC equipmentbull;Ability to inspect HVAC systems to detect malfunctions and make necessary repairs and adjustmentsbull;Perform incidental tasks as required to complete the larger taskbull;E.P.A. certified in refrigerant recoverybull;Holds such licenses as the laws of the community requirebull;Knowledge of Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:bull;Ability to complete required preventive maintenance at defined intervals on the HVAC and other equipmentbull;Johnson Metasys experiencebull;Low temperature process refrigeration experiencebull;Vibration analysisbull;Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the department and companybull;Strong computer skillsbull;Experience with computerized maintenance management systemsbull;In order to be considered for this position, your work experience and U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certification as a Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in a manufacturing environment must be documented and verified.bull;Knowledge of G-SuiteOur benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
