Manager – Business Management Intelligence for Urban Science Applications, Inc. in Detroit, Michigan. Duties include:
Perform Business Management services, including supporting account growth, completing contracted and ad-hoc projects, supporting contract renewal and helping to develop new business
Respond to clients by answering any Business Management Financial Analysis related inquiries; handle ad-hoc requests, such as manual reports using MS Excel and/or Power Point or automated reports and web application development using Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET, SSIS packages and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
Participate in sustainment activities for the web based Business Management Intelligence (BMI) application, detecting and resolving application or data problems. Liaise between client and Urban Science technical staff on installations, ensuring system is properly installed, set up, and functioning at established quality levels.
Assist with establishing and maintaining long-term business relationships with client(s) by providing insight to senior management in creating estimates and proposals for clients, and presenting project status updates and conclusions to client(s).
Assists in making recommendations to improve profitability and accurately forecast costs.
Liaise between client and Urban Science technical staff, communicating and defining client’s requirements for new features, enhancements and bug fixes of the BMI solution; ensure changes are properly set up, tested, deployed and functioning at established quality level.
Position Requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, Computer Systems Engineering or Management Information Systems, or foreign equivalent education and 3 years of experience in a software consultant or development or data analysis position - 3 years of experience is required in all of the following:
SQL Server database design and implementation including Transact SQL, SSIS package, and writing, modifying and optimizing complex stored procedures, views, scalar-valued and table valued functions.
Dealer Business Management in the automotive industry including performing Risk Analysis, identifying Financial Data Outliers, calculating Net Working Capital Standard and improving Profitability.
Data analysis using MS Excel, including advanced text manipulation and mathematics including linear regression and statistical modeling, graphing, charting, pivot tables, using functions and writing formulas including Macros and VBA code.
Client facing experience liaising between client and technical teams for business analysis, project requirements gathering, project coordination and training clients on proprietary software solutions and processes.
Working with technical teams on setting up and sustaining multiple servers. Overseeing preparation and execution of software deployments and updates.
