Director, Transformation Insights & Role Excellence

Worldwide Partner and Commercial Organization (WPCO), VMware

The VMware WPCO organization is seeking an experienced leader who will be accountable for developing and leading the business transformation insights strategy for VMware’s WW Partner and Commercial organization. This role will report directly to the WPCO Strategy, Planning and Transformation leader, and is responsible for the design, development and execution of compelling and consumable business insights processes, tools and artifacts linked to transformational metrics and KPIs.

The ideal candidate is a strategic business leader with strong financial acumen and proven expertise in building effective insights practices in highly matrixed and complex /multi-RTM environments. The role requires a track record of balancing strategic thinking, driving transformational change, and executional rigor delivering on current business priorities. This is a highly cross functional role requiring close collaboration and a jointly accountable operating model between WPCO & VMware product business units, field sales, finance, operations, and chief digital transformation office.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Insights CoE:Defineand executeWPCO’sinsightsstrategy,with the goal ofexecuting a streamlined process fordeliveringexecutiveawareness andviewsintotrends and impacts across theWPCO businesses (Partner, Commercial, DSAT, HCI), through a unified RTM lens

  • Provide thought leadership around emerging business patterns; gather insights and make actionable recommendations around areas of growth or decline

  • Collaboratecross functionally with business stakeholdersand executive team,servingas trusted thought-partner, fully understandingbusinessobjectives,andproviding strategic insights tosolve business challenges.

  • Translate datafrommatrixed organizationsinto clear, actionable insights and recommendations ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality deliverables,including contributing to executive strategymemos

  • Responsible for leading monthly and quarterlybusiness review preparation andexecutivesupport

  • Modelingand analysis ofpotential impactsattributed toproposed shifts in strategy, business models, etc.

  • Worldwidemetrics& KPIsstandardsdefinitions

  • Quantitatively linkmetrics & KPI impact to business growth targets

Required Skills

  • 10+ years’ experienceinstrategy&businessplanning,andbuildingintelligence and insightsframeworkswithin ahighly matrixedsoftwaresalesenvironment

  • Solid understanding ofPartner ecosystems,SaaS salescycles&KPIs,and customer lifecycle models.

  • Demonstrates exceptional leadership skills with the ability to create and drive vision across organizations.

  • Motivated self-starterwho will actindependently to determine methods and procedures to deliver upon core responsibilities and special projects

  • Confidence in communication and presentation to all levels of organization.

  • Strong strategic thinking, intellectual curiosity and love of problem-solving with a passion for driving action and making direct impact on business outcomes.

  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills; proven ability to work with a diverse team and influence and drive change across functional and business boundaries in a fastpaced,complexenvironment.

  • The ability to operate effectively in a rapidly scaling, dynamic environment, be able to manage multiple stakeholders and groups simultaneously and have strong communications skills.

  • Possesses highest level of integrity, honesty and professionalism.

Preferre d Skills

  • SaaS/Software sales experience

  • Advanced degree in Businessand/orFinance
