Position DescriptionA Truck Driver is responsible for the transportation of construction equipment and materials to and from all job sites. When not driving you must be able to perform tasks which require physical abilities and effort involving landscaping, debris cleanup, restoration, mowing, tree and shrub shaping, road repair, and other duties as assigned.Qualifications ulliMust have a valid CDL Class A license./liliMust have six (6) months recent / relevant laborer experience or demonstrated mechanical ability to perform the assigned duties of the position in a variety of weather conditions./liliWorking knowledge and understanding of Safety regulations and DOT guidelines; and be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies./liliDependable transportation./liliSuccessfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background check, and motor vehicle report./liliAble to effectively read, write, and speak the English language./li/ulResponsibilities ulliMaintain a valid commercial driver’s license and medical card./liliSafely operates and maintains assigned truck and other utility vehicles./liliAble to follow all applicable safety rules and procedures. Adheres to Federal, State and Company regulations./liliComplete daily pre-trip and post trip inspections./liliWhen not driving, will perform a range of general laboring duties involving strenuous manual labor in construction projects including but not limited to digging, shoveling concrete and dirt, tamps earth excavations, levels ground using pick, shovel, tamper, and rake./liliMay clean and prepare sites, grading, restore lawns berms, spread sand gravel and landscape materials, clean up rubble, debris and remove waste materials. May assist other craft workers./liliMay operate a variety of hand and power tools, various types of machinery and landscape equipment./li/ul Physical Requirements:ulliHook/unhook trailers/liliChain/unchain loads/liliTarp loads (by using ladders or by climbing onto the load itself)/liliBe able to lift up to 50 lbs. with occasional lifting of over 75 lbs./liliMust be able to repetitively lift, walk, kneel, climb, bend, stretch, squat, sit, push, pull or carry objects Use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object./liliMust be able to work outdoors, in hot and cold weather and occasionally in rain or snow, and on uneven surfaces./liliNoise level is generally loud./li/ul
