Job Description & Qualifications:

Ford Motor Company's Global Data, Insight, and Analytics (GDIA) organization is looking for a seasoned technical/analytic professional that has a deep business understanding of data science and the underlying technologies. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest global subject matter experts that are transforming the automobile industry.

This role is in the Data Operations & Infrastructure department which has responsibility for all analytical tools and requisite infrastructure that supports all GDI&A functions. This role covers both strategic and tactical aspects of the domain and will be involved in the development of software roadmaps, project planning and tracking, solution testing, development and execution of training, deployments, and on-going operations within the Big Data environment. The incumbent must be able to work with and lead cross-functional teams of data scientists, data analysts and IT practitioners to deliver solutions and capabilities that provide data-driven insights.

This role requires a detail oriented, creative technologist, comfortable working in a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, able to work with a variety of customers and manage and prioritize competing customer demands, while incrementally building an integrated reporting and analytics self-service platform end state vision. \n\n\n\n

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as an internal consultant across all of our business units, this position will take a leadership role delivering solutions

  • Building out the Big Data environment with new tools (such as Hadoop, Informatica, ChatBot)

  • Partnering with Information Technology team to deliver new Big Data infrastructure

  • Build new training materials

  • Develop, communicate, own and support User Communities tied to Big Data toolsets

  • Identify, track and measure appropriate metrics for the Big Data domain and develop action plans for improvement

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology or Economicsor other related technical and business fields

  • 5+ years of project management experience

  • 3+ years of technical architecture experience

  • 3+ years of database experience (IE. DB2, oracle, SQL, Teradata)

  • 3+ years of experience in leading/supervising teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology or Economics or other related technical and business fields

  • Self-starter, high level of initiative, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.

  • Strong collaboration and communications skills..

  • Strong problem formulation and problem solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership behaviors.

  • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
