What you’ll be able to do:
Develop and integrate global implementation plans for connected features across multiple vehicle programs both in-plant and via over-the-air introduction through coordination with cross-functional teams in Product Development, Marketing, IT, Vehicle Operations, Sales and Service and Ford Partners.
Create detailed feature implementation plans and update Jira Portfolio backlog to establish an E2E view of delivery in JIRA for Job1 and OTA launches of features.
Support the feature function decomposition, led by the Feature Owner, to identify cross-functional dependencies and aligned backlog prioritization for delivery sequencing.
Support the feature and product teams in the development and delivery of specifications, FMEAs, Safety, Security, Legal, Compliance, Privacy and Netcom reviews, technical design reviews, approvals and baseline efforts.
Support the planning and delivery of OTA updates to plants and service including constraint planning to enable delivery as applicable.
Support OTA rollout planning including sequence for firmware updates, configuration updates, map updates etc. as applicable for impacted features.
Partner with Vehicle Programs, Component Design & Release Engineers, Product Owners / Managers, Program Managers and Functional Leads on release scope, timing requirements and constraints for connected feature rollout.
Actively manage cross-functional program teams thru regular meetings, agenda and status reports. Communicate program status, issues and risks to respective program stakeholders.
Manage and provide leadership and oversight to all teams to ensure governance processes are properly established and consistently followed, with the right processes, tools, resources and techniques to achieve goals and deliver business value.
Lead the program team through Gate reviews to ensure all criteria for passing gates are complete.
Minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, or similar scientific field of study
5+ years managing large enterprise programs including experience managing multiple concurrent large enterprise programs requiring extensive x-functional integration.
5+ years of experience in feature function decomposition and work breakdown structure development to develop plans for implementation.
Our Preferred Requirements:
Strong communications skills with the ability to effectively liaison between multiple cross functional managers.
Broad understanding of embedded systems and development milestones, vehicle CAN signal analysis, cloud connectivity and integration, backend enterprise systems integration and mobile applications integration to develop x-functional program level gives / gets and project planning.
Thorough understanding of GPDS methodologies for engineering design and development
Thorough understanding of SAFE Agile methodologies for IT/ Cloud / App design and development
Knowledge and experience with systems engineering fundamentals and quality / reliability methods including FMEAs and DVP&Rs, for both in-vehicle and off-board systems
Strong analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
Strong written and oral skills - able to clearly convey complex blends of business and technical matters to a range of audiences.
Effective time management and prioritization skills.
Ability to construct quality work plans and deliverables from minimal definitions and to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
Creative in quickly developing approaches to problems and recommending actions to management, including implementation of suggested recommendations.
Self-starter and highly motivated; Uses sound business judgment and exhibits leadership qualities.
