Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan for each patient - neonate to teenage patient population. Serves as a resource of information and treatment skill for nonclinical staff, provide student supervision as needed. Supervises assigned support staff. Collaborates with intra and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care. Collaborates with patient, family, significant other in treatment and in discharge planning. Provides written documentation to the physician regarding the patient initially, at discharge, and at appropriate intervalsEssential Duties:Direct pediatric patient care: Demonstrates skills to evaluate and treat a variety of pediatric diagnosis Provides a Physical Therapy patient -( neonate to teenage patient population) evaluation, incorporating patient treatment: evaluates, interprets findings; develops treatment and discharge plans; implements treatment, re-evaluates, educates Parents and Pediatric patients and significant others; meets productivityDocuments: Standardized Pediatric evaluation results, treatment and discharge plans and daily treatment according to all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards of documentation; submits charges for services provided.Maintains verbal, written and electronic communication and collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team, referral sources, physicians, and 3rd party payors.Participates in leadership functions: community outreach, CQI, marketing, cost containment, program development, PTA/AT/aide/student supervision; teaches staff, physicians and others.
