What you will be able to do
You will play a key role in helping us deliver innovative new driving experiences that delight our customers. This will involve coordinating software development activities for the radar and Driver State Monitoring (DSM) software on the DAT2.X project. Your role requires an understanding of the “gives” and “gets” from different teams working on DAT2.X – both Ford and supplier teams – in order to be able to incorporate them into the work plan. You will:
Oversee the project plans to support GPDS timing for the main DAT2.X programs from the suppliers
Work closely with the Ford and supplier radar and DSM hardware engineers during software development
Oversee the incorporation of cyber security, over the air updates, service oriented architecture and data analytics functions
Manage the closure of SW related issues
Review and track the progress of the Ford and suppliers teams against the work plans
Maintain a project dashboard along with key performance indicators
Support the SW verification and validation teams to establish test strategies to achieve suitable coverage along the right side of the systems Vee
The minimum requirements we seek
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
3+ years of experience with Embedded software development
Our preferred requirements
Experience with radar/camera software development
3+ years of experience with software architecture development
Understanding of embedded hardware and software design
